Fresno State at San Jose State Post-Game Notes, 9/26/15

 
 
Sept. 26, 2015
Pre-Game Notes 
• Captains: Dylan DetwilerTodd HuntMalique Micenheimer 
• San Jose State won the toss, deferred to the second half.
1st Quarter 
• Da’Mari Scott returned the opening kickoff 66 yards to the San Jose State 33-yard line. It was the longest kick return of his career. 
• The return was the longest for a Bulldog since Nov. 7, 2008 when A.J. Jefferson recorded a 92-yard return for a touchdown against Nevada. 
• Ford Childress started at quarterback for the Bulldogs, marking the first time since 1979, when game starters were available, that Fresno State has started three different quarterbacks in the same season (Zack GreenleeChason VirgilFord Childress). Louisville and Syracuse are currently the only other schools this season to start three different quarterbacks. 
• Claudell Louis recorded his third sack of the season, a loss of eight yards. 
• Ejiro Ederaine made his second and third sacks of the season, losses of two and 11 yards. 
• Jamire Jordan had his longest kickoff return of the season with a 47-yard return.
2nd Quarter 
• James Bailey recovered his first fumble of the season. 
• Stratton Brown forced the first fumble of his career. 
• Kilton Anderson entered the game at quarterback, rushing for a gain of 17 on his first play as a Bulldog. 
• Childress threw his first touchdown as a Bulldog, a 7-yard toss to Jamire Jordan. It was Childress’ first touchdown since Sept. 14, 2013 vs. Georgia State. It was Jordan’s third touchdown reception of the season. 
• Shannon Edwards recorded his first career sack, a loss of six yards. 
• Nathan Madsen earned first sack of his career, a loss of three yards. 
• Kody Kroening converted a 39-yard field goal, his third of the season. He is now 3-of-3 on the year. 
• Justin Green recorded his first career sack, a loss of three yards.
3rd Quarter 
• KeeSean Johnson 29-yard touchdown reception, first touchdown of his career. 
• Jamire Jordan five-yard touchdown carry, his first rushing TD of the season.
Final Notes 
• Ejiro Ederaine recorded his fourth-career multi-sack game. 
• Six sacks by the defense matched the single-game high during the 2014 season (Nov. 29 vs. Hawai’i). 
• Career high nine receptions for 90 yards for KeeSean Johnson 
• Career high five receptions for Jamire Jordan
• Career high 10 tackles for Jeff Camilli
• Shannon Edwards and James Bailey each with career high nine tackles. Ejiro Ederaine and Justin Green also with career highs in tackles with eight.
