Bailey Commits to Bulldogs
Last week, the 6-foot, 197-pound prospect took visits to Fresno State, Nevada, and Iowa State, telling AllCyclones.com shortly afterwards that the Cyclones were his favorite; his high school teammate, quarterback Dominic DiLira, is an ISU commit.
"Fresno State was the better choice for me. It felt like home."However, he took some time to ponder the decision and realized the West Coast suited him best.
"It was the better choice for me. It felt like home. After all my emotions calmed down, I realized Fresno State is where it's at for me," he told AllCyclones.com's Trey Scott on Monday night.
The athlete formerly played linebacker for the Cavaliers, but worked on making the switch to safety this off-season.
"The first week, it took a while to get used to, but now I'm just loving it. It's easier for me to react and see the ball and where it is going. I've gotten bigger and faster. I've been running track, and that has really helped my speed. I've become more confident as a player, too," he said this spring.
As for what he plans to bring to a next-level defense, Bailey says, "I would love to play either linebacker or safety. I can bring intensity to a college defense. I love to go out there and try my hardest and bring the energy out to the field."
