Planned Visits for Bailey
If there's one thing that Austin (Tex.) Lake Travis defender James Bailey has going for himself is versatility. He's already played a couple of positions on the high school level, and with the increased use of hybrid athletes in college that should bode well for him.
And so far it has.
"I played rover as sophomore and junior, but I missed a few games as a junior because of a concussion. For my senior year, I will play free safety," Bailey said. "I'm fast and can play multiple positions. I have a wide range. Most (college coaches) want me as an outside linebacker, then possibly work me as a free safety."
Either way, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Bailey will find himself on a college roster. In fact, programs like Iowa State, Fresno State, North Texas, Texas State, Nevada, New Mexico and Stephen F. Austin have already made it known that it would be a great addition to have him on the team.
At the time of the interview, Bailey had not yet made any visits, but this is the week he stated that he would be in New Mexico. Next week and the weeks that follow will include trips to Iowa State and Nevada.
"I love the recruiting process right now. And it’s exciting know that two-a-days are right around the corner," Bailey said.
